A Fun Interview

Sep 18, 2025

Recently I had a great conversation with Julie Hennrikus, the Executive Director of Sisters in Crime. She interviews writers about writing, and I was honored to spend an hour chatting with her about my desire to write, my impetus for writing, and my highs and lows over thirty years of the writing life. To hear the conversation, just click here and you can enjoy our casual conversation.

Writing is a lonely business, for the most part, and this suits the introverts among us (yes, I would say I’m an introvert). But our desire to be alone and quiet sometimes doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy a social gathering or a great conversation with friends. I had never talked with Julie before, but after our conversation, I think we both feel that we know each other better, and would greet each other warmly if we met in person.

Give it a listen to hear about some upcoming projects and goals in my writing life. And oh–Happy September!

More news to come soon in my September newsletter.
